Bicycle Golf Cart:

The Granny Bike conversion kit can convert two standard bicycles into a very convenient golf cart for one or two golfers. The only addition to the basic conversion kit is a blue box carrier and an attachment bracket to hold the golf club bag. This golf cart is suitable for golf courses with paved or groomed golf cart paths and reasonably flat terrain. Adding an electric drive to assist the rider extends the versatility for the Granny Bike golf cart into the range of a powered golf bag cart or regular golf cart.

The electric-HPV hybrid golf cart has many advantages. First of all the cost is low when compared to normal golf carts or powered bag carts. The cart also gives the golfer or golfers the opportunity to exercise by pedaling if they wish. It can be use as a powered golf bag cart at any time through out the round of golf by one or two people. The Granny Bike golf cart with electric assist drive could also be remotely controllable. When the Granny Bike golf cart is not being used for golf, it is available for other cycling activities.

This golf cart quadcycle should be constructed from ladies bikes for ease of access. The bicycle should be solidly constructed and not be too high. The bike should be low geared and fitted with wide balloon style tires for ease of pedaling on uneven ground. The wheel diameter should not be too large to keep the center of gravity low. If the electric drive assist is added the tires should have a tread with a good grip like a mountain bike tire. The umbrella holder is a nice extra for protection from the sun and rain.

The Granny Bike quadcycle can be assembled or disassembled in 10 to 15 minutes. The only tools required are a 1/2 inch deep socket, pair of pliers and 7/16 and 1/2 inch box end wrenches. Once disassembled the bikes can be transportation on car mounted bike carriers.  If the bike rack is modified the Granny Bike can be transported fully assembled.  If you have a truck, leave it assembled, one or two people can easily lift it into the box fully assembled.
